Tell Me Your Name

Tell Me Your Name

A Poem by Nosce Te Ipsum

Who is this person

that I write so dearly to,

so harshly to,

so questioningly to,

so truthfully to?

I talk to you like I know you,

but I truly do not know

where you came from.

The sunshine turns to shadow

on me and there you are.

The seasons change on me,

summer to fall

and you are sitting

on the bench next to me.

The sun comes back,

the dust flies and

the leaves rumble,

you're in my head,

in the trees,

I hate to admit it,

am scared to admit it,

but you're in my heart,

you're in my soul.

I interrupt you

and I apologize.

There you are,

you came back to

bring my body warmth.

I feel like the kid

in "The Perks"

who writes those letters,

so vulnerable.

He is my friend,

we are alike.

I really like the short phrases that bring such light into ideas, so quick. Good writing. Very nice.

About
Honestly, I simply write for myself. I'm not big on the technicalities. I do it to keep myself sane because generally there is no other way to release my emotions. I will be thrilled and overjoyed if .. more..
