The Tunnel

The Tunnel

A Poem by Andrez Cervantes
"

What was felt. What was seen. What was experienced.

"
Moving, racing, scarring through the air like a whip to a back. . .
I position myself, awaiting defeat,  floating over their tracks. . .

The end is coming near - a dark entrance awaiting. . .

Faster and faster it draws near, I can't stop this prow!?
To late to look back, a forward motion is all there is now!
Veins burst open - eyes blink to my love that fades. . .
Here it comes! The ending to my beginning!? I try calling out to Brandon!?
Zooming! Blasting! Exploding outward like the ammo in a cannon. . .
Color fills the room - my mind covered in paint. . .
Talking isn't possible and moving isn't the same.
Is this the love that I need to blame . . . ?
Concentrate to breath - How do I look?
My reflection is now in someone else's hands.

Its smooth surface will never be forgotten, its edges have stained my sands.
You are on another level - beauty becoming overbearing. . .
Stick with it, looking back isn't an option.

Your melody replays in my head creating toxin.
Eyes like diamond with the touch of a demon. . .
Now here is a question for you, are you ready to break the seal?

Cause there might not have ever been tracks, just that of a enigmatic keel.
