Don’t Forget MeA Poem by IridescentThis piece depicts the irony of the meaning of the myosotis flower.
Don't Forget Me.
The ice-cold raindrops fall upon the forget-me-nots, dripping from its petals that fall in ones and two. Oh how must you feel, to witness your friends wither - their leaves that cascade lifelessly in the midst of cloudburst as you remain solemnly. How much have you endured to outrage your nature? To portray withering; to convey elegiac lament with your petals that do not carry words? The rain, Now black, Pours upon you, Sullying the remaining of your endearment. Slowly, your tainted petals fall, your seeds create oaths that beg for your existence, to be in remembrance And perhaps that infinitesimal fragment of you, Gives birth to euphoric poignance And thus, The painting of your season Upon these myriads of mosaic canvases incite Your memories of obstructed hues and shattered happiness to become truly beautiful. Within this notion of dear sentimentality - you remain forever reminiscent. To every notion of beauty - the conception of bitterness lingers. Within this season of malevolence; your world of monochromatic sentimentality, Your absence was to cleanse your heavy leaves. © 2019 IridescentAuthor's Note
