I Think I Thought

My girlfriend loves this one, so hopefully everyone else will.

I think of you when I’m happy.

I think of you when I’m sad.

I think of you when I’m lonely.

I think of you when I’m mad.

 

I thought of you when we were apart.

I thought of you when we were together.

I thought of you when it was sunny.

I thought of you when it was bad weather.

 

I think of you when I’m bored.

I think of your when I’m excited.

I think of you when I feel brave.

I think of you when I’m frightened.

 

I thought of you as soon as we got off the phone.

I thought of you before I called.

I thought of you at our favorite restaurant.

I thought of you at our favorite mall.

 

I think I thought we’d last forever.

I think I thought you understood.

I think I thought you would leave me.

I think I thought I knew you would.

I liked how you had it in sequence. Very nicely done, the only thing that bothered me was the ending- it's a bit puzzling. Maybe you could throw in "I know" instead of "I thought" so then you can deliver the full impact to the reader?
