So There Once Was A Girl

So There Once Was A Girl

A Poem by Andrew James Armstrong

So there once was a girl.
Who was ever so sweet.
Her personality was the best.
One that could never be beat.

She was oh so beautiful.
She could never look bad.
She was the perfect girl.
One you could take home to mom and dad.

Her voice was so soft.
And sometimes she was shy.
She had such a pretty smile.
Gosh i wished i was her guy.

She had never done anything bad.
She was always so good.
When she accepted to be my girl.
I almost mis-understood.

I thought how could this be.
I have the best girl.
She made me so happy.
She changed my whole world.

As time passed by.
She became even more pretty.
We were so much alike.
I was glad she was with me.

So there once was a girl.
I thought everything of her.
She left me and moved on so fast.
So why do I still love her.

So there once was a girl.
Yea, she broke my heart.
Yet I'm still writing about her.
Even though we are now world's apart.
