Poetry

A Poem by Andrew N. Farrens
"

quick write bullshit

"
#poetry
Pickpocketin' emotions in blistering conditions
Halfway hopin' to be one of God's Chosen
but I can't get the cut of clean livin'
outside my hut I keep a shovel
in case its my grave that might need diggin'
"I'm Nobody! Who are you?"
asked Emily Dickinson
not sure if she ever got an answer
but the questions; she was never rid of them
Poets may all have unique personalities
but we live in dreams and are unaware of real reality
That's why poets read the words we write
as if you people really gave a f**k about hearing our poetry
The lingering insanity forces us to continue
writing unread words but its not because of you
We do it for ourselves
in whatever style it may take
whether or not we make
sweet love to the language
or we manipulate and rape
the words in our anguish
This is what poets do,
or at least that's what I do
because I am a poet
writing with utter freedom
and I wrote these words for my mental health
so I gives a f**k if you read them.....
(and that makes me a damned liar!)

The above lines are true and wonderful. I'm asked often. What make a perfect writer. My answer is simple. No perfect writer. Writers are what they know, what they lived. Best writer bleed words from knowing a life testing life and chance. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Late to the party but I think this is pretty great! Lose yourself a little more in your inhibitions and overall rage and anger and vulgarity and you'll definitely leave your mark on the world of poetry. I firmly believe that.

Love the way you expressed yourself on this one!

Indeed, it's some crazy need. And then life is gone and with it the need. But the same happens for those in the real reality too.
