Plucking Words From The Void

Plucking Words From The Void

A Poem by Andrew N. Farrens
"

A poem inspired by nothing......

"
Just because I grinned
didn't mean everything was okay.
It was an unconscious sort of thing,
sort of like how one might pray
all damn night until morning light.
Death comes with the day......
I'm prepared for the time
when all will doubt what I write and say
and
just because I grinned
didn't mean everything was okay.

Lovingly Drew Kazinsky puts these words
on clean, pure paper.
They help the memory become more vivid
as I read them back later
but
please don't think I create
these words that have you annoyed.
I swear on everything I believe sacred,
I only plucked them from The Void.

When Drew Kazinsky picks up the pen,
it's like the alphabet is on steroids.
Writing things like I hope
these racist fascist b******s
get tied up and plunged
in every orifice with sex toys
of the male variety......
And
Fox News and every other mainstream journalist lies to me
on the flat screen of my very own TV.
Then they have the nerve to say I'm bad
because I smoke herb and believe in conspiracies?
F**k them and f**k you, too,
if you can't see I write this
for you're own damn good.
I'm drowning in my own bitter laughter.
Black lives, Brown lives, Yellow lives, White lives, all f*****g life matters.
Karma is a B***h
and God is as mad as a hatter
or a hack writer who writes
rhymes of the sort of a failed rapper who thinks he is
The S**t because he has the keys to crapper........
West Side.

I liked your thoughts. Honest and direct.

I do believe in karma. Bad acts and deeds will be paid one day. Here or hell? Thank you for the outstanding poetry. I liked this poem.

It must be nice to say things for the way there are. It can't be easy when dealing with the void. And so long as we can do that ... we must be okay. It presents new avenues to explore ... and to find that hat which fits. Nice ...

I like the idea of Drew and the clear pure paper. The last verse is taking a pop at some conventional targets. Maybe things become more interesting when we skirt round that normal stuff of annoyance. Don't ask me how we do that though!
