There's A Girl That I Cannot Forget

There's A Girl That I Cannot Forget

A Poem by Andrew N. Farrens
"

Typical nonsensical melodramatic sentimental lunacy.....

"

To write this nonsense, I must be insane

But my Love for you,

Burns inside and will remain

The driving force behind these words,

Laced with Pain

I want you so badly,

Other girls get mad at me

While my friends continue to laugh at me

Without You,

I cannot live this life happily

I don’t think I’d need the weed

If you were to be with me

The last is pure crap

I smoke the herb because I am mad

At a World that makes me so sad

It’s been almost a year since

His Death and I miss my Dad

But not as much as I miss you

And that, My Love, is the Honest Truth

He’d understand because he loved you, too

But what he wanted will never happen

That is why I am stuck here,  Rappin’

Instead of being caught in Love’s Sweet Action

There’s a Girl that I Cannot Forget

She’s Cancerous as She Blows

The Smoke from her Cigarette

She Doesn’t Understand

That She is Mine Yet

But that’s Okay, because

I Love that Stupid B***h

She’s Mine and Will Be Forever

Or At Least until These Words

Are No Longer Clever

And By That Time,

It Won’t Even Matter,

Because I am Nothing in This Life

Without Her

I like it.
I like when you say that you love the stupid b***h. Don't we all feel that way a bit about those that we love, I've been known to say, "he's such an a*****e. I love him" in the same breath. Sometimes when I call somebody a dick, love, is exactly what I mean.

I liked this better as I kept reading. At the top I wished for some more unusual words to throw it off. Don't get me wrong, I like simple and easy to understand, but sometimes you just need a bit more variety or it starts to sound like something that anybody could say and it doesn't hold onto the writer's own identity as well.

The second stanza was a thing of absolutely pure beauty. The others could use a once over again, there are some glitches in the flow. Overall great job!

Woman can drive a man insane. I like the flow of thoughts and use of memories to make your point. Like the old song. Should I stay? or should I go. Most time. Foolish men desire more pain and suffering. I enjoy the poem. Thank you for the excellent poetry.

Go get her Andrew! It helps however to express that in a poem though.

Sentimental, yes.... lunacy, no. Definitely not. I like the smooth, easy rhymes and overall flow of the poem.
