Butter and the Fly

Butter and the Fly

A Poem by Matt DeFranco
"

"Sometimes we have to spoon feed our passion to others or they fly away"

"

Graceful elements intact, in-flight.
Alluring envision, disposed unto my sight.
How the daylight magnifies her beautiful
colors, how she flies towards heaven,

with my eyes she flutters. And I step
with caution moving closer,the gentle
breeze my moving cursor. With the wind
she drifts onto the next leaf, as dynamic

I approach so vaguely she sees. Delicate
enough I know my hands to hold, and
mercy she deprives me of having hand's
control. And I yet so bold extend my

fervent nature, shaming the approach of
typical nomenclature. Then engaged for a
moment she ceases to hide, as I reach my
soul to catch her... and squash her like a fly.

That ending though.....interesting. Eloquent and ever so intriguing. I enjoyed
