A Poem by Matt DeFranco

And we gazed upon the mass constructed,
entranced by power and love ever-showing
with ducts of spirit eyes overflowing. And
all-knowing we embraced, with lines of Eternal

bounds we traced. And we took our place,
arms around one another’s shoulders as a
thousand moons garnished the sky the Sun
ordered. Destined to fall we knew, we wished

farewell as we each stepped through. And we
sang as time was bought, for time was surely
not. Whispering truths of forever’s echo to the
one’s we love...the one’s we let go. For all that

we hadn’t experienced yet, yet all of this we
had to forget. And now we sit in a world of
in-between ‘til the time we stand for what we
once believed, what once was and what will ever be.

A great writer is not always so eloquent with his words, not always the best orator, not even the most profound within literacy; but one who is led by his pen through the inspiration of the heart. One.. more..
