Surge ThroughA Poem by Matt DeFrancoI don't know what sometimes takes that tingle away You know when it's like ' the wind grazes your soul and everything is serenity And the rifts of life fill with a soothing ignorance of understanding.. ..complete And fate closes it's eye for a bit while it rests with satisfaction and the Sun takes aim to kindness, releasing steady thought Oh, if this feeling weren't so ephemeral That the plague of apprehension and disdain were cured That on this day day I can choose my cup and that with which it is filled On this day, at this hour, at this time as I wrestle with what scorns, may that comfort but surge through.
