The Powerful TranslationA Poem by Matt DeFranco
Are we just trying to
get to another side shifting for our own, puzzled by what's not And yet it seems that as a mass we are fickle That between good and evil be systems, infinitum of how to live... But behold one precept so engaging as to define the prose of immortality And not merely to live forever but to thrive in blissful perpetuation One that, with truth pedals on the road to all findings of unlimited worth One that trumps all the hands life has dealt And that affliction tends to avert A word not diluted with debaucheries or ill-famed mannerisms Where the roots of love and kindness sustain their translation May we all seek that one... ...may we all define thus, charity.
