iNCOMPLETE sTORIES

A Poem by Matt DeFranco

The seas rest,

As I turn my head

Where memories were once,

Faded dreams

Now within my ethos screams....

Deliver the truth,

Oh agenda

Will this muse last forever?

Recanting the youth of

Obscure notions

Always wandering for

Exotic potions..

Will you immerse,

Amongst the calloused hearts?

While I hold my breath

In the deepest part..

Amongst all the riches,

Washed in glory

Without you,

I'm incomplete stories..

I love this. You should keep it close and read it aloud to her once you've crossed paths, she'd melt by the end. "Without you, I'm incomplete". I think we all long to hear those words, to have them spoken to us with evident care and sincerity.
