Seethe

Seethe

A Poem by Matt DeFranco

Have I drank the drops

of the

cup run out?

This friction,

this phrase..

"without a doubt"

This thinking

kindly

Sometimes I have to

shout

"Why do seasons take their

toll"

Is this the truth

the one I'm

sold?

And pardon me for

dereliction

It must be the

Sun,

the part of me that's only

fiction

Can you feel these words,

I can't see?

Or is it just my narcissism

and prolixity?

Breathe, breathe, breathe..........

Sometimes I have to seethe.
