The Wind is God'sA Poem by Matt DeFranco
The wind is God's..
As I walk down the street and reflect, I summon the clouds. And gravity whispers fate.
My hands are out like a plane or a bird's, typifying liberation. Pondering the dreams I had when I was weightless. Then I'd open my eyes as despairing it came with.
It's an anchor that held me down Somehow mistakes became my crown. Dispirited within, all or nothing around.
I always heard about those one's that found. I'd see them every once in a while when I would come out of... ...and tarry above ground. Smirks that irked me but somehow profound.
Kudos to those deep thinkers! Who drive the world but forget to turn on their blinkers.
I just couldn't pull my finger. An Eternal conviction still lingers.
Oh, how vulnerability replaces shame to keep me in my place and remember my real name.
Who says you can't walk when you fly... live within the ticks that the clock can't find. No need to fast-forward or rewind causethe wind is God's and sometimes mine. Matthew Andrais DeFranco © 2014 Matt DeFrancoReviews
