My Cinderella

My Cinderella

A Poem by Andrew Acuna
"

A poem I wrote about discovering your very own cinderella.

"

I look along the sidewalk and see
The moonlight shining off the puddles
A glimpse of your face in each one
I see my cinderella waiting for me
She wants me to comfort her with tenderness
With compassion, with soul
With the love that she needs to render her helpless
I throw caution to the wind
And take a cup full of the puddly water home
Pour it on the floor and wait for her to be born
But I hear nothing, not even a small set tone
Cinderella, where is my cinderella?
A glimpse, a glimpse was all i got
Back to the drawing board i go
Nothing left but to clean up, where's my mop?
I clean up the mess and put on my shoes
Time will tell, when she will be delivered
That being
My Cinderella in her unpuddled slippers
