That One

That One

A Poem by Andi

She sits.

Just sits.

And watches me.

Not everyone,

just me.

I feel her eyes burning into my soul.

Her deep brown eyes, dark and so cold.

She just sits and watches.

For days upon days.

I don't know why it's just me.

All I know is that it is just me.

She sits in that chair.

Same one every day.

The chair that's not there.

At least so they say.

No one can see it.

But I know it's there.

Away from the lights,

away from their stares.

I wish I could sit there and never be seen.

Just like that girl there, watching over me.

That is why she sits.

To fill me with envy.

For she may hide for ever and watch.

I must forever and ever be watched.

This poem has always been one of my favorites because, you know that feeling that you get when you think that someone's watching you? This kind of explains that feeling, in my point of view anyway. I wrote this on June 16th of this year, 2012.

Maybe there is someone there, like a guardian angel, or a ghost! This is an eerie write which you penned so well. Good job! Thank you for submitting this to "Keeping The Dream Alive"~! Helena

crafty and expressed with a turmoil fed sense of sentiment that leaves
an anxiety to overwhelm one's sense of paranoia, excellent job, I like it

Hey! This is such a symbolic poem. I loved how it's like speaking to you while you read the poem. I think my only suggestion is to change your word choice on some parts because the words are too common.

But aside from that, great job. Keep writing!

This is a nice poem. I love the originality and that the girl who sits only looks at you. That is such a symbolic poem. I enjoyed it a lot.
