Won't

Won't

A Poem by Andi

I won't look down.
I've never done this before.
I can't believe I'm up here among the stars.
It must be beautiful.
But I won't look.
What if I fall.
What if I look and I can't see anything at all.
I shut my eyes.
Trying to shut out the temptation.
To look.
Just a peek.
Well alright.
Just one look.
I can't be afraid forever.
Anyway, maybe it is time for me to fall.

So much meaning packed into so few beautifully expressive words. Very, very well done.

My favorite line: "It must be beautiful/But I won't look". Very nice.
