Hiding

Hiding

A Poem by Andi

We are hiding in the dark in a corner.

Far away from anyone else.

Standing here looking through the water.

Sighing at the beauty of it all.

All of the worlds beauty is hidden.

Dark and scared of us all.

But nothing that you have really matters.

Because nothing can turn beauty,

into nothing at all.

People say that everyone has darkness inside them.

But that is like saying the glass is half empty.

I believe that everyone has light inside them.

The people with the darkness are the ones,

that have flipped the switch.

The only thing keeping you from being an angel.

Are the ones who have turned the light off.

You present a wise truth in your ink. The analogies are clear and the meaning comes through clearly. Well done!
