Where are all the birds?

Where are all the birds?

A Poem by en skygge
"

I wish I could fly

"
Where did all the birds disappear?

I can't hear their beautiful song;
We used to sing along,

But now there's nothing to hear.

They flew around our heads;
Sometimes ate from our hands.

Now they're nowhere near.

We used to pretend to fly so high;
Conquer the world, conquer the sky.

Being forgotten was our only fear.

The spring has come without the birds;
We learned how it felt when your heart hurts.

Nowdays our sky is crystal clear.

You flew south to see birds flight;
I slowely became afraid of height.

Goodbye birds, goodbye my dear.

I love the bold words. It really puts more emphasis on what your saying in between the lines. You have some nice imagery going in as well, making me feel like I was there. Very good job!
