Every Moment With You

Every Moment With You

A Poem by The Anathematic Error

I wish I could give you every moment
Every second with you is like
My first with you, the love stays new
As we grow old, we push through
Push through the struggles of this hell

As we live our life
We’ll face pain and strive
But now our love stays strong, we survive
No! We don’t survive, we strive
And nothing will get in our way

Before now, all I felt was shame
Death was my only thought, but no
It had become more of an emotion

All I desired was the blade
All I saw was my own blood
I gave up on looking for shae
I had no control

The one under control wasn’t me, but her
She made me bleed, she made me cry
I couldn’t do anything
No matter how hard I tried

Laughed at me, spit on me
Took all the joy from my soul
She blindfolded me, I couldn’t see

Then you came in my life
You came in my soul
The harm from before starts to heal
I can finally feel

Let our future burn bright

Your poem has an uplifting ending. After pain, comes some healing. A new person in your life is helping you to move on. This is a message of hope to others. Thank you for sharing.

The reality of a wife beating up her husband or a girlfriend beating up her boyfriend. It is so refreshing to hear it from the other side. Instead of it being a woman. Telling us. No offence to anyone. I am just saying It is good to hear a man speak out about it. True, really hurt, pain and putting up due to fear and being ridiculed if anyone found out. As a man has got to be manly and tolerate a lot of things. So society says. Men have feelings and needs also. And should speak out as well.
