Emptiness

Emptiness

A Poem by The Anathematic Error

I’m giving up, all hope is being lost
My body cedes control to suicide
My heart is cold, but I seem to look fine
My soul loses warmth, being covered by frost
My consciousness fades, it’s a downward slide

I have lost the fight
Losing my life, my soul
I’m becoming an empty shell
Life is going away from my sight
Due to lack of soul, my body, a shell, will never be full

When we lose our soul. What are we? Living dead? Nice use of words made the reader think and ponder your words and thoughts. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry.
