endings you float past

endings you embrace

endings you tolerate but never engage with

endings you rebel and rail against

endings foisted upon you

endings chosen gleefully

endings chosen with the heaviest of hearts

no ending the same

reverence required, and yet, and again

offer each one an emotion

offer each one a name
