Seeing the sun in the mirror

Seeing the sun in the mirror

A Poem by anartao

Watching those connected to a state of disconnect

The geometry of random lines that never intersect

A million little stars who in the mirror see the sun

and when the world creeps past the screen then all they’ve been will come undone

Patience never blossoms on the back of shrill demands

The screens between hold separate what could be the work of many hands

Silver spoon fed fantasies that help promote the fable

that teaching locust mindsets on a finite world is stable

Life is not a lottery of numbers called at birth

Every hunger taught also consumes anothers worth

The scales always balance true regardless of the cost

We either lose the extra pounds or all we have is lost

We need a brand new vision that connects us and defines

Views that bring us closer than the bloated checkout lines

To realise we have no claim above anothers needs

Sow no more salt in mental fields and try our hand at seeds
