mamá

A Poem by anais.vionet
"

I could say a thousand things about someone as central to my life as my mom.

"
Senryus about my
favorite - my one and
only - mom (so far).

"Mom!, I understand!!"
5 minutes later - wait, what did
she want me to do?

Eating my breakfast
cereal, “Mom!, let’s go to the
lake!,” Mom says, “Can’t.”

“I can’t wait to be
a lifeless professional,”
I say to my bowl.

Mini-heart attack:
Your mom says: "OK, I need to
ask you a question."

Another example of your already extensive repertoire in poetry which not only is a tribute to your relationship with your mother but a humor filled look at growing up. Stanza three, line might benefit from the final 'the' moving down to the final line to give the correct count and line two of the final stanza has eight on (syllables)?
