A reason to write

Sometimes I write to embrace,

sometimes I write to escape--

and sometimes I write

Just because I can't pray.

Most of the time it's to maintain my zeal

most of the time it's to remind me to feel

just to feel,

or to make you

FEEL.

But the number one reason

I spend countless nights

staring at the sky

scribbling reverences 

above these faint blue lines

is that I want You to give me something

that I could never give to myself

I want you to understand me

and I want you to care about me

and I want you to Love me 

In a way

that I never could
