Clean slate

I am on my journey, a journey to reset.

It was a long road to get here,

Trying to see the beauty in what is here for me right now.

I have a hard time getting my hopes up,

Because I fear it is just a trap.

I am on my journey,

That anxiety always seems to find a way to bother along my way.

I'm just looking for rest.

A place to mend my shattered heart.

A journey to reset.

There's a quietness to this that I really like and relate to when reading. It's talking about struggle, but it's also describing a weariness and you can very much feel that. Despite that it's not a hopeless read either, which is hard. I can't fully articulate to myself how exactly you did it in these lines, but you did and it was well done.
