Whispered Desire

Whispered Desire

A Poem by Amy

My shallow voice is like a nervous laugh.
Motionless I sit like anxious prey,
Until light is gone and silhouettes dance in darkness.
Our frenzied breath manifests,
And screams are absorbed by heat,
Revealing only whispered desire.
