Lose Your Grip

Lose Your Grip

Empty your hands.

You’re grasping on for dear life,

it’s creating a reality that’s become abstained.

Pour your mentality down the drain,

the toxicity is drowning your head.

Empty your hands,

to pull yourself together.

So you can untie the knots that have unraveled into ridiculously thin shreds,

which you have tried to save,

over and over again.

Rinse off the salt you’ve been washing

your wounds with,

to feel the pain outside of your skin.

So you can make excuses for the ones who have caused you pain, internally,

consistently.

…always failing to prove you wrong.

Brave heart, put the salt away,

and save your sanity.

Walk away.
