Naive ThoughtsA Poem by Amy Sese23 May 2017
She speaks so intuitively.
And I watch as she moves her lips. Almost as smooth as she sways her hips. She speaks so vaguely. And yet, I feel like she's speaking directly to me. It's her ambiguity I ride. Across the rising tide, Just to crash, heart first, But i swear one day, She will cushion my fall. And tell me it was all about me. And she saw a universe within me That had her come to life. I swear one day, She'll lie to me and tell me she was only about me. And I'll believe her, I was always so naive. © 2017 Amy Sese |
