A little red rose
In a sea of blue.
Lost, just drifting
With nowhere to go.

Drowning, sinking,
In so much pain.
Floating, waiting
For the rain.
Hoping to come
Home again.

Tears roll down
Red stained leaves.
Getting lost in
The deep sea.

So many others
All blend together.
And the red rose
Stands alone.

This red rose
Was blue once too.
Blending in
With all the rest,
But this red rose
Was sick of hiding
Behind a mask of blue.

The rose turned red
From all of its pain.
This rose is
Blood stained.

So much pain
The rose moved on
And finally stopped
Pretending.

Stopped pretending
To be okay.
Stopped pretending
To be the same.

This red rose
Is lost in a
Sea of blue,
But this red rose no longer
Pretends to be blue.
