wishes

A Poem by the scarlet letter
"

its about my persception of wishes.

"
what a precious waste
of something that will never be
I wish you were still mine
to have and to hold

it's funny how your long legs
never stood for anything you wanted
if it didnt please others you let it go
that's why i can only have you in my wishes

wishes never mean anything
they always remain untrue
no matter how much you want them
it'll always be in vain

wish upon a star they say
never tell anyone your wishes they say
they're like a penny in the wind
quickly blowing away

if you want something stop wishing
get up and make it happen
what a precious waste
of something that'll never be!
