My Soul Does Bleed

My Soul Does Bleed

A Poem by Ashley Myers

Drops of blood pound the floor,
The blade it laughs with hate.
The reflection in that dark red pool
Screams out my final fate.

My knees they drop, my head does bow
And tears of pain I cry.
I gasp for air though no ones there
It's more than my body that dies.

always so sinister when dark thoughts and moments are pressed through a rhyme - the innocence mingling with the darker imagery - haunting piece!! nice!
