Nature of Mine

Nature of Mine

A Poem by Amy Turton

Twilight moon hung low in the sky,
the sound of a night bird as it flies on by.
Rippling water flowing downstream,
so peaceful, so tranquil; almost a dream.

Flowers dance wildly in the breeze,
as the icy night air rolls in from the seas.
Wolves howl loudly, voicing their plight,
fireflies glitter 'gainst the dark canvas night.

The eyes of a fox loom 'neath the trees,
a beautiful sight that must be seen.
Croaks of frogs and chirps of crickets,
while timid deer hide 'mongst the thickets.

So much nature, beautiful and free.
Isn't this how it's supposed to be?
