Silohuette Whisper

Silohuette Whisper

A Poem by Amy Selena
"

A tale of confusion

"

Breath stops
Pulses soar
Your eyes glisten
My heart needs more

Remnants of your quiet voice
Begin to dance around the truth
Battling an enemy it must face
The enemy of remembering you

Your warm touch
My cold shiver
Your silhouette whisper
Is never enough

Brace yourself for the storm
As I welcome the thunder
That crashes through windows
And shakes up the floor

The sky becomes a lost ocean
Filling up the darkness
Emptying your thoughts
Pleading you to let go

Glass shudders
Memories shatter
Lightening strikes
Useless desires

Immersed in the horizon
You swallow freedom
Caught in a cold sweat
I’m nowhere close to home

Your voice
Soft as a child’s kiss
Is my laughter and bliss
In a city of fools

I’ve never touched the skyline
The clouds always hid the stars
But they were once mine
Before you ran distant and far

The rain tastes of nightmares
A blade through our dreams
A desperate endeavor
Of what we once were.
