Her hair weaves through the passing wind

Her fingers brush through patches of green

She asks the sun to hang low in the sky

While she searches for familiar movement among the trees

 

His glowing features emerge from the forest

He puts out a hand and offers his confidence

She takes his warmth

Her eyes confused and unsure

 

He’s got it all figured out

As the North wind passes by strong

Her steady heartbeat

Flows effortlessly with the music that soothes her confusion

Her melodic voice sings

As the sky fades, darkens

 

She stands tall to meet his moonlit eyes

The painted sky is now nothing to see

In his gaze, she searches, she finds

Simplicity from beneath
