K.R. SwartzA Chapter by Abigail MuddimanA Character SketchHer confidence was incomparable. Every smile, laugh, every
step she took and every word she spoke was confident. She was the kind of girl
you never knew you needed in your life. The one who knew where she was going
without a second of doubt. Family oriented, faithful, never questioning God’s
plan for her despite some recent setbacks. Everything happens for a reason and
who was she to question that? She was homeschooled, something you’d always find
weird as f**k, no offense to her of course, just a childhood so much different
than your own. Like honestly, how has she never seen Drake and Josh? She was easily one of the best role models you’re
ever have…not that you’d ever tell her that. She was the best friend you never
intended to have, got you back on country music and your faith (well, her and
your other best friend twice removed), and never judges you for caring way more
than you should. She puts up with your brashness with gentle laughs and endless
support, things you’d forgotten existed until she came into your life. The
sister in your sea of brothers, the one who calls you on your bullshit"although
she’d never put it that way. Her morals were enviable, her ability to actually
keep her s**t together was something you wish you could learn from her, amongst
other things like her easygoing attitude and endless patience (how she puts up
with you is beyond even your bizarre imagination). When people ask how y’all met, you always say “She was my
random roommate and we were basically the same person so we just got along
right from the start.” But you know that’s not true. She was the girl you always
wished you could be, and you’d fight anyone that tried to change her. © 2017 Abigail Muddiman
