Who are you

Who are you

A Poem by Amanda

The masks she wears are starting to get heavy.
They make her feel as if she's carrying weights around with her all the time.
The only time she feels free and light is at night,
when no one is watching,
her emotions begin spilling out.

In the morning,
the masks are put on again,
changing throughout the day.
She feels the pain within her.
The walls blocking the qualities she really has.

She suffers when she sees others happy,
it reminds her of the weights she has with her.

Even the during the days that were most delightful,
at night,
she thinks the day all over.
Each thing that comes up in her mind,
she worries,
she turns them into negative thoughts.

She looks into the mirror every day,
talking to her reflection asking herself,
Who are you?
