Affliction

Affliction

A Poem by Amanda

I don't see you as much anymore.
The distance is growing between us.
The conversations are fading.
The phrases we usually say when we see each other are no longer said.

I suffer whenever I walk by you,
acting as if we don't know each other,
the silence kills me.
No pain killer can ever take it away.

I try to get you off my mind,
however when I do,
you appear to walk by in front of me,
you appear in my social media notifications,
you appear in my mind again.

Affection imbalance is painful, especially if you're on the short end of the stick. It sounds as though the sooner you can release him emotionally the better.
