i wrote this 2.5 years ago for a class... not my best, but oh well

 

Thoughts

 

impressions are all around me

everyone knows exactly how to think

and they tell me how to think too

 

tv

music

internet

 

is nowhere free of everyone else’s thoughts?

i guess not

because every time i open my eyes and look around

someone is telling me how to think

or feel

or live

 

and i don’t like it

 

this is my brain

and my life

THESE ARE MY THOUGHTS!

 

so please

just get out of my head

and leave me alone

 

me and my thoughts are just fine

without you telling me what to think.
