Cave in

Cave in

A Poem by ali
"

about four kids who died awhile ago exploring a cave in provo utah. some of my friends knew these people.

"

Her brain is her liver is her spleen.

A recepticle of panic and water.

Hands that are aware? Or do not know.

An echo of panicking laughter

Is it best, like this, to perish

In the arms of the ones you love?

I wondered as I woke up before dawn

And I knew that they were gone.

Wow Ali! This is power packed. I didn't hear about the Provo tragedy. I think it sounds like they were living when they died. Bringing light to the dark, that's what love is, at least to me...I don't think you could have ended this piece better...

Great Write!

Tommy
