Misty Reflection

Misty Reflection

A Poem by PlatonicPoet

Misty Relfection

The sky is sullied by too much thinking
It spirals to the philosophers below.
But instead batters the poets, lo
Their once free lines are sinking.

The blood of youth nourishes the soil
Their manipulated thoughts fashion their pain.
Major capitalism at their toil
And thus is wasted by apathetic disdain.

Cigarettes are rarely bought by those of educated state
Instead their eager offspring consume.
Gone is the intellectual above such hate
Who would enjoy his short life until doom.

The future is tainted by jaded thought
For if only their teachers would have taught
The capable of singing a happier tune.
Too bad they all drink at noon.
