Heal the Heart

Heal the Heart

A Poem by Imperfection
"

This is for a friend who will never read it. I wish this message reaches him somehow.

"

I know it’s hard to forget

To erase those memories of the two of you

To throw away pieces of a broken dream

For yours was a love that was so true

Some colors grow paler with time

But only if you let them fade away

Let your tears wash away the hue

That is all I want to say

Like flowers that wilt when broken from the stem

You must close the chapter with a final seal

Please don’t water the plant of pain

You deserve a chance - a chance to heal.

Great advice. Yes, it's alright to feel the pain at first, let it out a little. Then it's time to put it behind you and move along. To twist a famous movie quote, "These aren't the loves we are looking for." Once they hurt, let them go.

Wisdom of the ages in such a short write.
This is very profound, written with perspective. It would be nice if this person would read this.
Perhaps somehow by you taking the care and concern to think enough of someone to write and post this~ by osmosis it will take, somehow.

Relationships- now that is a subject we could write on 4-ever! God Job -Roxy

It's tough when we are hurt deeply, but the question is will we let our flower wilt with anger or will it rise for the sun and flourish again? The paths we choice, to live in pain or to heal and move on. The question we must face every time we are broken. Very relatible. Well done

Very touching... But are there not some things that you just don't want to heal.

I love love love it! Your words are so true and speaking from recent experience you can either let it go or become bitter. I love the way you compare that to a flower. Absolutely brilliant!

When love ceases to exist and there is a separation or a divorce, it is like someone or something died, and there is a grieving process and it takes time to heal. Thank you for sharing. Debileah
