A lot said with so few words. Very venomous. I read this as "her" meaning the woman in the relatinoship, being "toxic" and poisoning an innocent. Not a likely scenario, but maybe she believes it's so from blaming herself. I went back over it thinking the "her" could be another woman -- not necessarily another lover, but perhaps a mother or mother-in-law or even a friend. Pretty wicked depth of meaning for such a short piece.

This is really a very strong piece of writing with a great sense of symbolism in it. Often, a relationship turns in a wrong way when one half becomes toxic for the other one and then even their presence makes the other half to feel bad. Thus, it finally results in a break up and thus a sad ending of a love.
The poem is indeed very sad and vivid!

There is so much in your few short words here. This is a really great piece. And in response to Shalini R, I think you could use love and lust interchangibly in this piece. For a true Femme Fatale will use both to destroy you.
