Cure for Heartache

Cure for Heartache

A Poem by Imperfection
"

Still under construction

"

You were so refreshingly different

You were almost too good to be true.

If I can convince myself to believe

In this piece of fiction,

I may be able to live through the remaining years

But would I be able to trust myself ever again?

wow. this is quite painful to read, I have sympathy for anyone in this situation. I been there and I know. Truly beautiful words, yet painful.

Very beautiful and very sad, If we could only delete those memories of life and feel those emotions were undamaged. Excellent write.

Wow... I loved it. It takes me back to my first love and the agonizing weeks (weeks? who am I kidding - YEARS ) after we broke up. I never thought anything would bring me back to that time, but lo and behold, you did. Not necessarily a bad thing.

Good job

Time is the cure for heart-break. Sometimes it takes longer than others, and even then we have to be careful that we do not reopen the wound by dwelling on the sadness.

This poem can be applied to so many situations.

Very nicely written, and I liked the emphasis on: "You were almost too good to be true", and how that was a fiction. That is often the hardest thing to admit.

Well written,
JBD
