Insomnia (Acrostic)

Insomnia (Acrostic)

A Poem by Imperfection
"

Re-written.

"

I lie awake yet again

Not knowing how long this will last

Suffering quietly, in solitude

Outside, the silence of the night, smiles helplessly

My mind is so weary of watchfulness, but

Never a moment's rest inside

Incurable insomnia keeps another victim awake until

Another colorless morning

I like this alot. I love how you write about the calm around you and then say it is not that way in your soul! Very interesting insight into your specific cause of insomnia! Although I must say it is probably true of most people. Nice write!

Insomnia, not the best plight in the world, but not the worst by far. Still really sucks when you go to school or work the next day though, hard to concentrate. With me it's almost to the point where I am starting to become nocturnal.

Best way to cure insomnia....
Give your brain permission to think any crazy thought it wants to. Tell yourself you don't care how insane the thought is. Next thing you know the alarm is going off and you have been asleep for hours. I have to do that. I keep waking up when I don't like some dream I am having. I finally tell myself I don't give a hoot how stupid the dream is; I want to see it. I sleep then.
