'Defense Mechanism'

'Defense Mechanism'

A Poem by Imperfection
"

Re-written, using different words. But I have managed to retain the same flavour.

"

It’s for my sake that,

I pretend you are still here.

Else I may not live.

Beautiful Senryu :)
There is a lot of depth in your write, full of emotions and pain!
I also saw that sense of affection which is still alive in your heart...
Beautiful...really beautiful!

And best thing in life is LONELINESS...because it teaches you everything when you get it.. :) "

I love the use of the term "Defense Mechanism" as a title because that's exactly what it is. After years, I still wake up feeling that my husband is beside me until I wake up enough to remember it's just that pillow I put behind me...Maybe too easy to relate to, I think we'd go insane if we had to face the loss of someone that central to our lives and ourselves without some cushioning. Sometimes the subconscious knows what it's doing when it plays with our conscious world. Another excellent soulful write.

Isn't this so true? We always hold so tightly to the memories when we lose someone or something.. great write, alot of emotion behind this.

Caffeine..
I'm so sorry. I don't know what a senryu is, or what form it's supposed to have. I know your writing well enough to know it's likely great, But, I'm not the one to critque it. Rain..
