Others only see what they want to see

They never ger to see beyond the outer shell

To the person underneath

Why can't people ever see me for me

And not as someone to take the pokes and prods that they feel

Why can't they see that I'm human

And someone to take their punches without responding

All I want is to be seen

To be turly noticed for who I am
