PERSPECTIVEA Poem by Shweta Sunil
“you watch the life around you thriving,
and as oceans hide beneath them, life of green, and each day, one heart bears the other, the love birthed, with each soul’s pain. you watch the life around you thriving, yet you dare to speak of the enchantress, as nothing but dirt!” at that-- the very thought, i plunged my very hands, into his sight, and as his eyes, i gouged out. he lay bleeding, the soils marked his existence, for now i shoved the same hands through a soul, that i called mine. and plucked my sight, out of its physical existence, as i lay blinded, withering away into silence, i said not a word-- and sunk them through sockets, that were blinded prior, and as i watched the smile fade away into what they call eternity, he watched as the hearts turned into dark love that had plunged into consciousness, he watched, and watched, as oceans hide scum-- and love birthed hate, that lasted for a life beyond death. he watched as the enchantress, enchanted other souls, and shoved them into beliefs that said, the world is beautiful! © 2017 Shweta Sunil |
