PERFECT WOMAN

PERFECT WOMAN

A Poem by Shweta Sunil

She loves too hard,
Yet she blooms too fast.
As gentle as the summer breeze,
Yet she fights like the wind on a stormy night.
As beautiful as a rain after a day too frail,
Yet as proud as thunder on a feisty sail.
She embraces strength and beauty--
Like they were none different.
She teases like a gir,l
She has an army of her own,
Yet she is the subtlest woman I have ever known.
Sometimes,undesirably vexing,
But never lets go of what she's loving--
Oh!She loves way too hard,
She protects,she loves,she guards,
That she remembers hardly--
The woman inside of her
That wants to love herself.
Without her--
No, I couldn't lie,
I wouldn't be what I am,
She taught me to be the woman she is.
Though not perfect,i will try
To love my sister
The way she has,and the way she will.

Admittedly, I had to chuckle within the first five lines, remembering all of times I have been told these things about myself. I love your comparison and contrast. Raw and gentle, in your face and subtle. All the ways we do indeed learn from our siblings.

The fact that this piece is about sisters sealed the deal for me. I was not looking for that turn. When it came I was utterly delighted.

Your imagery is spot on. You painted pictures of a person I would love to get to know. Then you introduced yourself as the one loving that person. I just love that.

These lines really impacted me - I love the words and the message. What an amazing tribute. Very well done.

Yet she is the subtlest woman I have ever known.
Sometimes,undesirably vexing,
But never lets go of what she's loving--

You are welcome my friend.
I like this poem but at the end seemed a little forced there might be a better way of working it. but of course just my opinion. I really did like the poem.
